Classics1957 Ford Thunderbird1957 Ford Thunderbird 312 Convertible
Factory big block 312cu V8 Limited production collectable car - $POA
The Ford Thunderbird 1st appeared at the Dearborn International motor show in Feb 1954.
In 1955 the Ford Thunderbird went into production and the ‘Baby Bird’ was formed and survived for 3 years, being 1955, 1956, 1957.
Introduced in 1955 with the 292 cu in ‘Y’ block V8 this engine evolved to the 312cu in in 1956 and produced with 3 options in 1957
The bodyshell was slightly changed in 1957 with longer rear ¼ panels and fins, larger grill and bumper bars, stiffer springs, larger brakes. Port hole hardtop was still an option
This prime example has been meticulously restored by a Thunderbird expert in Los Angeles California. It was totally dismantled and every nut and bolt was reconditioned or replaced to factory specs
It started life in Hollywood California and has always lived in the desert state, the body surviving in totally rustfree original condition
This example presents exactly as a new brand new Thunderbird would have been shown in a showroom in 1957….although probably even better with quality paint and finer fit and finish
Finished in Dusk Rose and Colonial White leather interior this 1957 Ford Thunderbird convertible was fitted with the 245bhp 312 cu in ‘Y’ block V8, Automatic transmission, power steering, Town and Country AM radio, dealer fitted Air Conditioning and the optional ‘Porthole’ removable hardtop
